Daniel Hell, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, the Medical Director of the Psychiatric University Hospital of Zurich for many years and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Zurich, previously a Chief Physician of the Psychiatric Center in Schaffhausen. Currently, he provides socio-psychiatric services in a foundation, Stiftung Hohenegg, and works in a psychiatric-psychotherapeutic practice. He is the author of several academic and specialist books primarily on his specialty, depression, and on understanding the psyche.
